Tribute to Jane Goodall painting

Oil on Linen 96" x 84"

Jane's life is attractive and remarkable, as few women would have been so driven to go live in Africa, in primitive surroundings, to study chimpanzees. Under Dr. Leaky's supervision, she was sponsored by the man who started the Do All Company of tools, as he was interested in her project and the tool making capabilities of the primates. She brought a new depth to the strength of a woman, and especially a new understanding of a species that had only been referred to as "its." The chimpanzees became entities, he's and she's, through Jane's eyes and research. The want and patience to gain understanding and knowledge, has placed Jane Goodall in the series. The painting shows the love and respect of the human-chimpanzee experience, the plight of ones used in laboratory research, and the loss of natural habitats in Africa.
